The State Board of Education issued Proclamation 2017 in April 2015.  The adoption of materials under Proclamation 2017 is scheduled to occur in November 2016.  The adopted materials are scheduled to be available for use beginning in the 2017 - 2018 school year.

Region 13 will provide free self-guided previews of submitted publisher materials related to Proclamation 2017.  Please see our Preview Materials page for more information.

Region 13 will host an Instructional Material Showcase on February 1, 2017 in support of Proclamation 2017. The showcase will be a come-and-go event that is free to district staff.

Implementation

We used Clicker Sentences IOS App for the student to write about the Butterfly Cycle.  She has difficulty writing sentences but is able to read well.  So, this was very successful for her.  We also used the avatar to tell about the cycle.
